Okurayama Park Plum Grove (大倉山公園 梅林)
Flow of the course
About this spot
This park spreads across the hilltop reached by climbing the slope beside Okurayama Station (大倉山駅), and admission is free. It is famous for its plum grove of about 220 trees, including Shirakaga and Bungo varieties, usually at its best from late January to March. The Okurayama Plum Blossom Festival is also held every year from February to March. In autumn, you can take a relaxed walk along the tree-lined paths - a good spot for a break before heading to the memorial hall.
Tips
It's about a 7-minute walk from the station to the park, but the slope continues uphill the whole way. If you have a stroller, allow extra time to make your way up.
