About this spot

A museum inside Heiwa-Chuo Park with free admission. It is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Mondays (if Monday is a holiday, it stays open and closes the following weekday instead). You can take your time learning about the nature, creatures, and history of everyday life on the Miura Peninsula through real specimens and materials. It is about a 10-minute walk from Keikyu Yokosuka-Chuo Station, and being able to spend the time before the night view comfortably indoors is also a plus for families with children.

Tips

There is no parking lot, so drivers should use the paid parking at the adjacent Bunka Kaikan cultural hall. Since the museum closes at 5:00 PM, start viewing the exhibits early.

Best time to visit

Afternoon. It is recommended to spend some relaxed time indoors before the night view.
