About this spot
An approximately 500-meter promenade built along the elevated tracks once used by freight trains on the former Yamashita Rinko Line. It runs from near the Yokohama Customs House (横浜税関) along an elevated section by the sea toward Yamashita Park (山下公園), offering views of the harbor and historic townscape from above. Queen's Tower (クイーンの塔), seen from this slightly elevated vantage point, is also beautiful, making it a perfect route for an evening walk.
Tips
Sea breezes blow across the elevated walkway. It gets cooler as evening approaches, so bring a jacket.
Best time to visit
Just before evening. This is when the light along the waterfront turns soft.
