Yokohama Matano Park (横浜市俣野公園)
About this spot
This roughly 11-hectare general park was built on the former site of Yokohama Dreamland. In addition to a baseball field, it has a multipurpose field, a playground, a rest area, and basketball hoops, making it a great place to be active with kids. Under a naming-rights agreement, the baseball field is called “Yokohama Yakudai Stadium” (横浜薬大スタジアム), and it is also used for the Kanagawa qualifying rounds of the National High School Baseball Championship.
Tips
Since the park is large, it is easier to get around if you decide beforehand whether you will spend your time at the playground or the multipurpose field.
