A museum where you can trace Tsubame's metal-processing history, starting from Japanese nail-making and evolving through Western flatware and hammered copperware. World-class spoon collections and masterpieces by craftsmen line the displays with plenty to captivate adults. The experience workshop offers hands-on activities you can't do anywhere else, such as titanium spoon color-development experiences and hammer-textured work on pure copper tumblers. Your finished pieces are yours to take home, making them perfect travel souvenirs.
Tips
Experience menus range from a few hundred yen depending on content, and many can be registered for on the day. The museum is barrier-free and stroller-friendly. Note that it closes Mondays. Nearby, be sure to try Tsubame's famous backfat ramen for lunch.
Best time to visit
