A Teikan-style government building constructed in the early Showa period and affectionately known as the "King's Tower," one of Yokohama's three towers. The sturdy tower structure and beautiful Art Deco-style decorations are designated as a National Important Cultural Property. On business days, portions of the main building and the rooftop are open to the public, offering views of the harbor and historical exhibits.
Tips
The rooftop and historical exhibition room are typically open on weekdays. On non-business days, only the exterior can be viewed, so enjoy photographing the Yokohama three towers from the Nihonodori side.
