Enjoy a Panoramic View of the Harbor and Yokohama's Three Towers from the Rooftop "Whale's Back"
About this spot
A wharf that has served as the gateway to Yokohama Port since the Meiji period. The current international passenger terminal features a rooftop of lawn and wooden deck affectionately called the "whale's back." From the 360-degree open deck, you can view the Minato Mirai skyline, the Bay Bridge, and Yokohama's three towers all at once. At dusk, the harbor turns a brilliant red, creating a spectacular sunset viewing spot.
Tips
The rooftop deck is free and open to the public with wheelchair ramps, allowing stroller access. Bring a light jacket as it can be windy in the evening.
Best time to visit
