Hayama Shiosai Park (葉山しおさい公園)
Flow of the course
About this spot
A Japanese-style garden created on the former site of an annex to the Hayama Imperial Villa. The grounds, winding through black pine groves and around a pond, are quiet, and a tea house adds to the atmosphere. The adjoining Shiosai Museum (しおさい博物館) exhibits deep-sea creatures and shell specimens from Sagami Bay. Away from the bustle of the shore, you can spend unhurried, grown-up time here.
Tips
Admission is a few hundred yen for adults and covers both the garden and the museum. There are plenty of benches, and the quiet makes it just right for a break between drives.
Best time to visit
Allow 45 minutes; mornings have few visitors, so you can walk in peace
