Interact extensively with marine life through dolphin shows and touch pools
About this spot
An interactive aquarium overlooking the Sea of Japan with the concept of "see, touch, and enjoy learning." The dolphin show has seating very close to the pool with water splashing right toward the audience for thrilling excitement. The touch pool lets you directly touch sea urchins, starfish, and other creatures from the rocky shore, and popular events like penguin walks let you feel close to animals. A special glass-floored section above the large tank creates the magical sensation of walking above the sea.
Tips
Bring towels since hands get wet in the touch pools. Check event times displayed at the entrance, then plan your route working backward from shows for efficiency. The facility involves outdoor transitions, so bring a light jacket for windy days. Parking is free.
Best time to visit
Takes about 2 hours. Afternoon allows easier timing around show schedules.
