Rest together in the bathhouse bathed in colored glass light, soaking in the natural hot spring foot bath
About this spot
A symbolic foot bath establishment of Awara Hot Spring standing at Yunomaichi Plaza. In a tea-house-style bathhouse built entirely of Japanese cypress, multiple distinctive soaking pools offer the soft, natural spring water for free enjoyment. The late afternoon, when light filtering through colored glass in Taisho-era style shimmers on the water's surface, creates a refined atmosphere perfect for a date. There is no better place to warm weary feet while conversing softly with your companion.
Tips
Use is free. Don't forget to bring a towel for drying your feet (a small towel is sufficient). Shoes that are easy to slip on and off, and pants that roll up easily, will make things smooth. As use increases in the evening, please be considerate of others and enjoy at a relaxed pace. Having a drink available for hydration after the bath is reassuring.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. The late afternoon light through the colored glass is beautiful and creates the most atmospheric experience.
