This temple-gate shopping street stretches along the stone-paved approach from the Nio Gate to the Mountain Gate, lined with souvenir shops and eateries. Shinshū's signature oyaki dumplings come in numerous vegetable-filled varieties; biting into a freshly steamed one lightens your step. Soft ice cream, sweet buns, and other child-friendly treats abound, while the selection of souvenirs—seven-spice blend and Shinshū miso—delights adults.
