About this spot

A spacious prefectural park maintained around Lake Gosho, which was created by damming the Shizukuishi River with the Gosho Dam. Several garden areas dot the surroundings of the lake, and among them, the Ride Plaza in the Family Land section is a children's paradise, packed with a row of unique novelty pedal bicycles. There are also lawn areas and play equipment for getting the whole body moving. The view of Mount Iwate towering across the lake is a sight unique to this park, and in the evening you may even catch the beautiful scene of the lake's surface dyed amber. Located just a short distance from Morioka Tezukuri Mura, it's a perfect spot for some play after your craft-making experience. A reliable supporting spot on your trip that answers children's cries of I still want to play!

Tips

Just a short drive from Morioka Tezukuri Mura, with free parking at each garden area. The Ride Plaza's operating period and hours change by season, so check the on-site signage. Bringing a picnic sheet and a ball makes lawn play even more fun.
