Its roots trace to post-war food stall villages, and it stands as a sacred site that has nurtured Hiroshima's okonomiyaki culture. Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki is layered with cabbage, noodles, pork, and egg, with each shop varying in how they grill the batter and blend their sauce. Tips

Popular shops develop lines during lunch hours; arriving just before noon is your best bet to avoid queues.
