The museum was established because Ohama Coastal Beach, right in front, is a nesting ground for red sea turtles. In the outdoor large pool, sea turtles with sizeable shells swim leisurely, and their impressive presence captivates adults as well. The displays conveying sea turtle ecology, migration mechanisms, and nesting behavior are easy to understand and perfect as a topic for independent research projects. You can use the shared parking lot with Ohama Coastal Beach. When viewing the outdoor pool, a hat is recommended for sun protection. The museum interior is easy to navigate with a stroller, making it enjoyable even for families with small children.

About 2 hours required. In the early afternoon, the sea turtles in the outdoor pool are quite active, making it the perfect time for observation.
