Strawberry Sweets at Kazekobo and Kochi Souvenirs for a Sweet Finale

About this spot

This roadside station along National Route 56 in the port town of Kure is the perfect place to finish your journey. At Kazekobo (風工房), a sweets shop run by a strawberry farmer, cakes and tarts made generously with fully-ripe strawberries are popular and provide a sweet ending to your day of food walking. There's also a shop serving grilled fresh seafood and a retail corner with local Nakatosa specialties, making it a fun place to hunt for souvenirs—dried bonito and citrus are perfect Kochi mementos. Spending time on the terrace overlooking the coastal town, you'll find yourself gently reflecting on your day exploring this fishing village.

Tips

The parking lot is spacious, and the location is conveniently close to the Nakatosa IC on the Kochi Expressway, making it easy to head home. Popular sweets at Kazekobo may sell out in the evening, so stop by as soon as you arrive.
