Connected to Oharai Town in front of the Inner Shrine, Okage Yokocho Alley recreates the Edo and Meiji period landscape of Ise's gateway town, featuring food stalls and souvenir shops. Wooden storefronts line both sides of the narrow alley. Many shops serve local specialties like Ise udon noodles and tejikone sushi (hand-pressed sushi) on the spot. It's a perfect time for lunch. At Akafuku Honten (main shop), you can enjoy their famous Akafuku mochi sweets fresh. On festival day, crowds increase from evening onward, so completing your food tour and shopping at this hour is the smart choice.

伊勢神宮への奉納を冠する歴史ある花火大会で、約8,400発が宮川の夜空を彩ります。川の両岸から観覧できる開放的な河川敷の会場は、打ち上げ場所に近く迫力満点。川面に映る花火の光が揺れる様子は、河川敷の花火大会ならではの美しさです。伊勢神宮の存在を近くに感じる土地柄の雰囲気とあいまって、他の大会とは一線を画す厳かで豊かな時間が流れます。約1時間40分にわたって打ち上がる約8,400発のフィナーレは、宮川の夜空を埋め尽くすような大連発で締めくくられます。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で事前に確認を。終了後は周辺道路と最寄り駅が大変混雑するため、フィナーレ後は河畔でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめ。伊勢市駅・宇治山田駅への帰り道は足元が暗い箇所もあるため、スマホのライトを活用して安全に。

Tips

Just a short walk from Uji Bridge in front of the Inner Shrine. Each Ise udon shop has its own distinctive taste, so sampling different vendors is fun. Since souvenir purchases become luggage, consider using coin lockers or choosing only lightweight items at this stage. During peak lunch hours, popular shops develop long lines; aiming for early afternoon (1 PM onwards) is advisable.
