Kintetsu Ikoma Station (近鉄生駒駅) is the central station of Ikoma City, served by the Nara Line, Keihanna Line, Ikoma Line, and Higashi-Shigi Cable Line, and restaurants, a supermarket, and convenience stores are clustered around it. Since the shops and food stalls around the venue get crowded in the evening on the day of the fireworks festival, it is a smart plan to have dinner or a light meal early in the area around the station. This is also your last stop for picking up takeout drinks and food to bring to the fireworks venue. In the evening on the day of the festival, more people are seen in yukata, and just being here heightens the summer festival mood.

Tips

On the day of the fireworks festival, drinks and light snacks at convenience stores can sell out early, so it is best to buy them in the early evening around 5 PM. Check the day's transportation guidance in advance for how to get to the venues, Takayama Bamboo Grove Garden (高山竹林園) and Mukaiyama Park (むかいやま公園). It is recommended to bring extra drinks with you.
