Located in Takayama-cho, Ikoma City (生駒市高山町), this bamboo grove garden is a green space representing the Takayama district, known as one of the leading bamboo-producing areas in Japan. In the evening, a cool breeze passes through the walking paths within the bamboo grove, making it an ideal spot to cool off on a summer evening. For the Ikoma Dondoko Festival Summer Fireworks, this Takayama Bamboo Grove Garden and Mukaiyama Park (むかいやま公園) are the two fireworks launch sites. The bustle of the main festival can be enjoyed at the various venues around Ikoma Station (生駒駅), so in the time before the fireworks begin, move here, spread out your leisure sheet in the viewing area, and wait for the show to start at a relaxed pace, wrapped in the green of the bamboo grove.

Tips

You will need to travel here from Ikoma Station (生駒駅) by bus or car. Check the day's traffic restrictions and parking information via Ikoma City's official announcement in advance. It gets dark underfoot after sunset, so a small light is reassuring to have. Use the restroom early, before it gets crowded.
