A museum designated as a Special Natural Monument by the nation, preserving and displaying an ancient cedar forest discovered during Uozu Port's construction, now buried on the seafloor. Cedar tree stumps submerged approximately 2,000 years ago are preserved in an underwater display dome, and their magnificent and mysterious atmosphere captivates visitors young and old. The mirage exhibit section provides clear explanations of why Uozu is known as the "Town of Mirages," allowing you to gain deeper knowledge of Uozu before the fireworks night.

じゃんとこい魚津まつりのフィナーレを飾る海上花火大会は、2026年8月8日(土)19時40分から20時20分まで、魚津港の沖合から約2,000発が打ち上げられます。海上から放たれる大玉と連発スターマインが夜の富山湾の空いっぱいに開き、海面に映る花火の光の帯が水面をゆらゆらと揺れる海上花火ならではの光景は圧巻です。立山連峰を擁する富山湾という雄大な舞台で繰り広げられる約40分間の花火は、魚津の夏祭りのクライマックスにふさわしい迫力です。波の音と祭囃子の余韻の中で、家族みんなで夏の夜を刻んでください。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否はじゃんとこい魚津まつり実行委員会の公式発表で確認を。花火終了後は魚津駅・新魚津駅方面への歩行者が一斉に移動して混み合います。終了後すぐに移動せず、港周辺で少し待ってから帰路につくと混雑を緩和できます。帰りの電車・バスの時刻は事前に調べておきましょう。足元が暗くなるので懐中電灯やスマホのライトを活用してください。

Tips

About 5 minutes on foot from Uozu Aquarium. Admission is 820 yen for adults; check the official website for children's fees. The grounds maintain a peaceful atmosphere even on fireworks festival day and are convenient for restroom breaks. The museum also has a viewing facility overlooking Uozu Port.
