About this spot

A complex building standing in Nanokamachi (七日町), central Yamagata City. Floors 1 through 3 house a shopping zone and gallery, while floors 4 through 8 are home to the Yamagata City Central Community Hall, equipped with seminar rooms, a music room, a library, and a 600-seat hall, serving as a hub for arts and culture. It's a building where shopping and learning come together. Toward evening, more people begin heading for the fireworks festival, and the whole town fills with pre-festival energy. It's reassuring to pick up anything you're missing during this time.

Tips

Within walking distance of both Kajo Park (霞城公園) and Bunshokan (文翔館). On the day of the fireworks, it's recommended to stock up early on drinking water and snacks at a convenience store. Traffic restrictions may begin in the evening, so walking is the surest way to get around.
