About this spot

An indoor food-stall village just a short walk from the east exit of JR Yamagata Station (JR山形駅). Eight shops across the 1st and 2nd floors offer everything from soba and oden to yakitori, grilled offal, sushi, and even Korean food, ranging from local flavors to distinctive specialty shops. Being indoors under a roof means you can stop by without worrying about the weather. After enjoying Yamagata's food here and filling up, head to your fireworks viewing spot before it gets crowded.

Tips

It's handy to carry extra coins and small bills for cash payments at the stalls. The park gets crowded, so be sure to hold small children's hands while moving around. Restrooms tend to form long lines right before the show starts, so it's best to use them well before 19:00.

Best time to visit

Allow about 1 hour 45 minutes. The golden rule is to enter the park around 17:00 to secure a spot
