About this spot

A roadside station located along the Fuji River (富士川) in Minobu Town (身延町), loved by both local residents and travelers as a tourism hub for southern Yamanashi Prefecture. It stocks local vegetables and fruit, along with region-specific foods and products such as hoto, a Yamanashi local dish, and simmered shellfish. It's an ideal spot for dinner and a break before heading to the Fuefuki River (笛吹川) riverbank fireworks venue, and it's equipped with parking and restrooms. On the day of the fireworks, finishing your meal early lets you avoid congestion around the venue and move smoothly into securing a viewing spot.

Tips

Located along the Fuji River in Minobu Town, it's about 20-25 minutes by car to the fireworks venue at the Ichikawa-Misato Fuefuki River riverbank. Since surrounding roads get congested on the evening of the fireworks display, it's reassuring to depart for the venue by around 5:30 p.m. Parking is available at the roadside station, but please use it earlier in the day on the day of the fireworks.

Best time to visit

About 1 hour 30 minutes. Stopping by in the early evening lets you fuel up before the venue gets crowded
