The riverbed upstream from Ashida River Bridge is the main viewing area for the Ashida River Fireworks Grand Display of the Fukuyama Summer Festival. From late afternoon, food stalls line up, and festival festivities spread along the riverside. On the day of the fireworks festival, spot-claiming begins early, so arriving at the venue by the 4 o'clock hour and laying out your leisure sheet provides peace of mind. Once you secure your spot, purchase dinner from the food stalls and enjoy it slowly while feeling the river breeze. As the sun sets, the riverbed fills with spectators, and the festive excitement builds. The transformation of the Ashida River's water surface from sunset orange to the deep indigo of night is also a precious moment of this day.

Traffic restrictions are imposed around the venue from late afternoon on the day of the fireworks festival, making public transportation recommended. Accessible by bus or taxi from JR Fukuyama Station. Secure drinks and light food early. Use the temporary restrooms within the venue early, as they become very crowded just before the fireworks begin.
