The promenade along the Shinmachi River (新町川) is a walking path where you can experience the daily scenery of Tokushima, the water city. The evening breeze across the water surface is pleasant even in summer, and from the bridges, the river's flow and the townscape across the bank make a picturesque scene. Food stalls may set up around the area on the night of the fireworks festival, so you can use this time to grab dinner and snacks. Since Aiba Hama Park (藍場浜公園), the venue, is within walking distance, it's recommended to finish eating here early and then walk to Aiba Hama Park to secure your viewing spot. Spend the time leisurely until the fireworks begin, enjoying the changing colors of the river as dusk falls.

2026年7月18日(土)20時から1時間、徳島市の藍場浜公園を舞台に約2,000発の花火が夜空を彩ります。吉野川水系が縦横に走る水都・徳島ならではの川沿いの会場では、打ち上がった花火が川面に映り込み、空と水面の両方で光が揺れる幻想的な光景が広がります。水辺から吹いてくる涼しい夜風の中、打ち上げ音が川面に響く迫力と水面の反射が重なり、都市の花火大会とはひと味違う臨場感を生み出します。フィナーレの連発で空が明るく染まる瞬間は、この1日の完璧な締めくくりです。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で事前に確認を。終了後は周辺道路・徳島駅方面が非常に混雑するため、花火終了後はしばらく公園内でゆっくりしてから移動するのがおすすめです。帰りは足元が暗い場所があるため小さなライトがあると安心。ゴミは必ず持ち帰りましょう。

About a 10-minute walk from Awaodori Hall (阿波おどり会館). On the evening of the fireworks festival, the surrounding area gets crowded, so finish your meal early with time to spare. Convenience stores and nearby restaurants begin getting crowded early. Plan for a 15-20 minute walk to Aiba Hama Park (藍場浜公園) to be safe.
Best time to visit
Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes required. The riverside at dusk is where the breeze flows most throughout the day, making it the ideal time to spend comfortably and cool.
