Located in the heart of Matsuyama, Okaido features approximately 400 meters of continuous arcades and is Matsuyama's largest shopping street. Historic Japanese sweet shops, local restaurants, cafes, and miscellaneous goods shops line the lively street where both locals and tourists pass through. Stopping by in the late afternoon before the fireworks is ideal for obtaining drinks and light snacks, and for taking a leisurely break before the evening's viewing. Walking through the adjacent Ginten-gai (銀天街) while soaking in Matsuyama's atmosphere provides good warm-up before your evening move.

Tips
会場の三津ふ頭へは伊予鉄道・三津駅または港山駅から徒歩でアクセスできます。花火大会当日は会場周辺の道路が通行規制になる場合があるため、事前に松山市や大会公式の案内を確認しましょう。荒天時の開催可否も公式発表で確認を。終了後は帰宅者が一斉に移動するため、電車の混雑が予想されます。フィナーレ後は少し時間をおいてから駅へ向かうと比較的スムーズです。足元が暗いので、帰り道はスマートフォンのライトで安全に移動しましょう。

Iyo Railway's Okaido Station is right in front, and it's close to Matsuyama Castle's ropeway entrance for smooth transfers. After the fireworks festival begins in the evening, crowds increase, so acquiring drinks and light nighttime snacks during this time avoids congestion at the venue. To head to the Mitsuhama area, the nearest stations from Okaido or Matsuyama City Station via Iyo Railway are Mitsu Station or Minatoyama Station.

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. It's recommended to complete shopping and rest during the calm late afternoon period.
