About this spot

A roadside station in Oono City where regional products of Echizen Oono gather, serving as a rest and shopping spot. Local vegetables, processed foods, Echizen soba, and local sake of Oono are available as souvenirs. A food corner offers light meals made with local ingredients, convenient for grabbing food before heading to the fireworks venue or stocking up drinks for takeaway. The view of Arajima Peak (荒島岳), one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains, visible from the facility, is another characteristic landscape of Oono. It's an ideal spot to take it easy before evening.

Tips

About 10 minutes by car from the city center. The facility can get crowded on the day of the fireworks festival, so it's reassuring to take care of restroom breaks, dining, and shopping with enough time here. Since you'll be driving to the fireworks venue, also check parking and transportation options during this time.

Best time to visit

Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. It is recommended to stock up on souvenirs and early dinner during the less crowded time before evening.
