A roadside station in the Futatsui (二ツ井) area of Noshiro City where Akita agricultural products and local specialties are gathered in a facility rich with regional character. You can find local souvenirs unique to Noshiro and Futatsui, including seasonal vegetables and fruits, wooden crafts made from Akita cedar, and local confections. There are also corners selling soft-serve ice cream and light meals, perfect for an afternoon snack time. Since this is still relatively early in the evening before the fireworks festival, you'll have time to leisurely enjoy souvenir shopping. Though it requires some travel from the Noshiro city center, this is a spot where you can make good use of your time before heading to the venue in the evening.

港まつり能代の花火は、能代港下浜ふ頭特設会場から打ち上がる約15,000発の大花火大会です。日本海に面した港の上空に開く大輪は遮るものがなく、水平線の向こうまで広がる夜空を存分に使ったスケールの大きさが圧巻。スターマインや尺玉など多彩なプログラムが1時間30分にわたって繰り広げられ、港に響く爆音と潮風が五感を刺激します。海面に映る花火の反射も美しく、海辺の花火大会ならではの景観を楽しめます。能代の夏を締めくくるにふさわしい、東北屈指の花火大会のフィナーレを埠頭から見上げましょう。

Tips

荒天や強風の場合は中止または延期となることがあります。当日の開催可否は能代市や港まつり実行委員会の公式発表を必ず確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路が混雑します。終演後すぐに移動せず、しばらく会場で余韻を楽しんでから時間をずらして帰路につくと混雑を避けやすいです。足元が暗くなるので懐中電灯やスマートフォンのライトを活用してください。

Tips

About 20-25 minutes by car from Energiam Park (エナジアムパーク). The closing time of the roadside station varies by facility, so check business hours before visiting. If you purchase souvenirs, carry them to the fireworks venue will increase your baggage, so either leave them in your car or return to your accommodation to travel light before heading to the venue.
