The Nagaki River riverbed flowing through central Odate is the venue for the Odate Daimonji Festival Fireworks. Spectators begin gathering from evening, and as picnic sheets spread across the riverbed, the festival's energy builds. 大館大文字まつりのフィナーレを飾る花火大会は、2026年8月11日(祝)20時10分から20時50分までの約40分間、長木川河川敷から約2,000発が打ち上がります。川幅いっぱいに広がる大輪の花火は、川面に映る光とともに夜の大館を幻想的に彩ります。まつりのにぎわいの締めくくりにふさわしい迫力で、東北の短い夏の夜を存分に感じさせてくれます。フィナーレの連発が終わったあとは、混雑が落ち着くまで河川敷でゆっくり余韻を楽しんでから帰路につくのがおすすめです。

荒天時の開催可否は大館市・大館大文字まつり実行委員会の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場が混雑するため、時間差での退場を心がけましょう。JR大館駅を利用する場合も終了直後は混雑するため、帰りの列車時刻を事前に確認しておくと安心です。
