About this spot

A park built atop a natural fortress—a river terrace surrounded on three sides by rivers—in the center of Numata City. During the Sengoku period, it was known as a castle associated with the Sanada clan and is counted among the Seven Famous Castles of the Kanto Region. From the observation spot on the high ground, a vast Numata Plain spans across nearly 360 degrees, with views of the Tone and Usui river basins and the mountain ranges toward Akagi, Hotaka, and Tanigawa peaks. You can see at a glance why Numata is called the "Sky Castle." From here, you can also confirm the view toward Numata Municipal Athletic Park, tonight's fireworks venue, making this an ideal spot to grasp the topography at the start of the day. The park is also beloved locally as a scenic spot for spring cherry blossoms and autumn foliage.

2026年9月12日(土)19時00分から19時45分まで、沼田市運動公園を会場に打ち上げられる沼田花火大会です。打上数は1万発以上と北関東の秋花火としてもトップクラスの規模を誇ります。9月の澄んだ秋の夜空は透明度が高く、花火の色と光が夏よりもくっきりと映えるのが特徴です。利根川流域の山々に囲まれた沼田の地形が音を反響させ、腹に響く迫力のある打ち上げ音も楽しめます。フィナーレに向けて打ち上げが加速する終盤は、空全体が光で埋め尽くされる圧巻の45分間。レジャーシートの上でゆったりと夜空を見上げながら、秋の群馬の夜を家族みんなで満喫しましょう。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表や沼田市の案内で確認してください。終了後は会場周辺の道路と駐車場から出るまでに時間がかかります。フィナーレ後は会場内でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから移動すると混雑を避けやすくなります。足元が暗いためライトを用意し、小さなお子さまの手をしっかりつないで帰路についてください。

Tips

About 20 minutes on foot from Numata Station, or approximately 5 minutes by bus or taxi from Numata Station. Admission is free. Toilets are available within the park. Parking is provided, making car access convenient. While the edge of the terrace has railings, please watch your footing while enjoying the views.
