A municipal park spreading across a small hill located east of Zenko-ji Temple, known as a scenic viewpoint where you can overlook the entire Nagano cityscape. The park features open spaces and play equipment, making it suitable for children to play actively. On clear November days with crisp air, you can sometimes see the Northern Japanese Alps and the mountain ranges of the Hokusin Goetsu in the distance beyond the cityscape, offering the refreshing views unique to this season. The park is within walking distance of Zenko-ji Temple, making it a convenient spot to visit after paying your respects. You can also confirm the direction of the Sai River venue, allowing you to envision tonight's fireworks viewing experience.

長野えびす講煙火大会は、商売繁盛を祈る「えびす講」の大祭に合わせて長野市で開催される、江戸時代以来の歴史を持つ花火大会です。2026年11月23日(月・祝)18時から19時30分まで、長野大橋西側の犀川第2緑地を会場に、約10,000発が打ち上げられます。晩秋の澄んだ夜空に開く大輪の花火は、夏の花火大会とは一線を画す凛とした美しさがあり、冷気の中で見上げる光と音の迫力は格別です。川面に映る花火の光が揺らめく様子も、犀川ならではの見どころです。全国でも珍しい「冬の花火大会」として多くの花火ファンに知られ、長野市最大級の祭りのフィナーレにふさわしい華やかさです。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表を確認してください。終了後は周辺道路と長野駅方面への帰路が大変混み合います。花火終了後しばらく会場周辺で余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するか、事前に帰りの交通手段を確認しておきましょう。11月の長野市の夜は非常に冷えるため、防寒装備は万全に。

About 10 minutes on foot from the Zenko-ji Temple grounds. Admission is free. The park has restrooms, which is convenient to incorporate into your pre-fireworks action plan. The play equipment area is enjoyable for small children, but as this is the cold season, don't forget warm clothing.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. The mountain ranges are most visible during afternoon clear skies.
