The Gondo Arcade shopping street, located between Nagano Station and Zenko-ji Temple, is one of Nagano's central shopping streets that reaches peak bustle during the Ebisu Lecture period. The Ebisu Lecture is an autumn grand festival praying for business prosperity, and the surrounding shopping street fills with food stalls and vendor stands selling lucky charms, creating a festive atmosphere. The area has many Shinshu soba restaurants and eateries serving local cuisine, perfect for an evening meal before the fireworks. Warm Shinshu soba and hot pot dishes for a chilled body are a signature pleasure of November sightseeing in Nagano. The Sai River 2nd Green Space venue is within walking distance from here, making it easy to relocate after your meal.

長野えびす講煙火大会は、商売繁盛を祈る「えびす講」の大祭に合わせて長野市で開催される、江戸時代以来の歴史を持つ花火大会です。2026年11月23日(月・祝)18時から19時30分まで、長野大橋西側の犀川第2緑地を会場に、約10,000発が打ち上げられます。晩秋の澄んだ夜空に開く大輪の花火は、夏の花火大会とは一線を画す凛とした美しさがあり、冷気の中で見上げる光と音の迫力は格別です。川面に映る花火の光が揺らめく様子も、犀川ならではの見どころです。全国でも珍しい「冬の花火大会」として多くの花火ファンに知られ、長野市最大級の祭りのフィナーレにふさわしい華やかさです。
Tips
荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表を確認してください。終了後は周辺道路と長野駅方面への帰路が大変混み合います。花火終了後しばらく会場周辺で余韻を楽しんでから時間差で移動するか、事前に帰りの交通手段を確認しておきましょう。11月の長野市の夜は非常に冷えるため、防寒装備は万全に。

About 20 minutes on foot from Zenko-ji Temple, or accessible by bus. During the Ebisu Lecture period, restaurants around the shopping street become very crowded, so it's recommended to eat early, around 5 PM. Start moving by 5:30 PM to arrive at the venue with time to spare before the 6 PM fireworks start.
Best time to visit
Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes required. In the evening, the shopping arcade's lanterns for the Ebisu Lecture illuminate, creating a festival atmosphere.
