A roadside station located in the Togawa district of the middle Shimanto River basin, offering a riverside location and menus using Shimanto ingredients. It's a place to encounter ingredients unique to this region, such as dishes made with aonori seaweed and wild eel from the Shimanto River, as well as locally produced vegetables and processed foods. The time spent relaxing on terraces and benches while viewing the river makes for a perfect break before the fireworks. The agricultural products direct sales corner offers opportunities to search for local seasonal vegetables and specialty souvenirs. The Red Iron Bridge festival venue is about 30 minutes south by car from here.

しまんと市民祭納涼花火大会は、四万十市の夏を締めくくる市民手づくりのお祭りの花火大会です。四万十川の河川敷から約6,000発が打ち上がり、広い川面の上で大輪の花が咲き続ける30分間は、日本最後の清流ならではのスケール感があります。花火の光が川面に映り、揺れながら広がる水面の反射は河川敷の観覧席からしか味わえない特別な眺め。赤鉄橋をシルエットに従えた花火の構図は、四万十の夏の象徴的な風景です。市民祭の温かな雰囲気の中で、地元の人々と一緒に楽しむ30分のフィナーレは、1日の旅の締めくくりにふさわしいひとときです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は四万十市または大会主催者の公式発表で確認してください。終了後は周辺道路・駐車場の混雑が激しくなるため、花火終了後しばらく河川敷で余韻を楽しんでから移動する時間差帰宅がおすすめです。足元の暗い河川敷の帰り道はライトを活用し、貴重品の管理にも注意してください。

Tips

Approximately 30-35 minutes north by car from the Sada Sunken Bridge area; when viewed from Shimanto City center, it's in the upstream direction. Business hours are roughly 9 AM to 5 PM, but may vary by season, so advance confirmation is recommended. To arrive at the fireworks venue in time, depart before 5 PM and head toward the festival area. Considering the return traffic congestion, research parking locations in advance.
