2026年8月16日(日)19時40分から20時30分にかけて開催される川内川花火大会は、薩摩川内市・川内川河川敷一帯を会場に約10,000発を打ち上げる、鹿児島県内でも屈指の規模を誇る夏の一大花火大会です。川幅を生かしたワイドスターマインや大玉の尺玉が夜空に大輪を描き、川面に映る逆さ花火との二重の光景は河川敷ならではの絶景です。打上音が川沿いの空気を震わせ、体に響く迫力は実際に現地で体験してはじめてわかる感動があります。フィナーレに向けてテンポが上がる連発の瞬間は、家族みんなで声を上げたくなるクライマックスです。

Tips

荒天時の開催可否は大会公式の発表で必ず確認してください。終了後の20時30分以降は会場周辺の道路と薩摩川内駅が大変混雑します。急いで移動するよりも、フィナーレ後も河川敷でしばらく余韻を楽しんでから、人波が落ち着いた時間に駅へ向かう時間差帰宅がおすすめです。帰路の足元が暗い場所もあるため、小さなライトを携帯しておくと安心です。

Tips

About 15 minutes walk from Satsumasendai Station. The riverside has little shade and strong sunlight, so don't forget sun protection measures and hydration. On the fireworks festival day, spectators increase from evening, so if you want to secure a good viewing spot, aim to return between 5-6 PM.
