As the sun goes down, visitor numbers surge rapidly, so claiming a spot with a picnic sheet sometime between 5 and 6 PM is key to a comfortable viewing experience. Cooling off in the evening breeze while gazing at the East China Sea dyed in sunset colors is also a way to enjoy a port town's summer festival that you can only get here.

On the day of the fireworks display, the surrounding roads get congested, so secure parking early or consider using a shuttle bus or public transportation.
