About this spot

A park about 10 minutes by car from Kotohikihama (琴引浜), beloved by local families. It has playground equipment including a large slide, and the landscape makes use of the mountain slope so children can move about freely. From the viewpoints you can look out over the sea of Kyotango (京丹後) and the surrounding townscape, building anticipation for the beach you are heading to. There is plenty of tree shade, which is welcome because it stays relatively comfortable even on a summer morning.

Tips

There is some up and down between the parking lot and the play area, so if you have a stroller, coming in easy-to-walk shoes is recommended. The restrooms are near the parking lot.

About 1 hour. The morning, before the sun gets strong, is recommended
