About this spot

A seaside roadside station in Taiza, Tango-cho (丹後町間人), lined with fresh local vegetables, seafood and goods made with Tango chirimen silk crepe (丹後ちりめん). In summer there are days when swim rings and beach sandals are sold too, handy for topping up before sea bathing. From the observation space you can look out on the Sea of Japan (日本海), building anticipation for the sea ahead. Once you have looked through the shop, set off for the tip of the Tango Peninsula (丹後半島).

京丹後市丹後町にある海水浴場で、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設。遊泳時間は9時から17時までです。沖合に突き出た高さ約20mの巨岩「立岩」を望む景観が特徴で、青く澄んだ日本海と白い砂浜のコントラストが美しいビーチです。シャワー(水は無料)、トイレ、脱衣所が整い、100台分の駐車場もあるため、家族連れでも荷物や着替えの心配なく過ごせます。波打ち際の水遊びから砂遊びまで、丹後半島の海を夕方までたっぷり楽しみましょう。

Tips

駐車場は普通車1日1,500円。遊泳は無料ですが、シャワー以外の設備は事前に確認しておくと安心です。夏の砂浜は熱くなるのでビーチサンダルが必須。遊泳時間は17時までなので、着替えの時間を見込んで15分前には切り上げるのがおすすめです。

Tips

Easy to reach from the prefectural road, with a fairly large parking lot. Summer mornings are relatively empty, so you can shop at a leisurely pace. If you are out of sunscreen or drinks, restock here.
