Flow of the course

About this spot

Japan's first photography museum dedicated to the works of photographer Domonken (土門拳). The interior, designed by architect Yoshio Taniguchi, is a serene space with the park's greenery and water surface as borrowed scenery, and an adjacent walking path centered on a pond spreads through Iimori-yama Park. His representative works, including "Children of Chikuho," feature compelling photographs that appeal not only to adults but also to older children. The stone garden and fountain designed by Isamu Noguchi outside the building are also highlights, perfect for taking a breather while walking through the park.

Tips

Miyaumi Beach is approximately 15 minutes away by car. The interior is a quiet appreciation space, so families with small children are recommended to combine it with park exploration. Iimori-yama Park has parking and restroom facilities.

Best time to visit

Approximately 45 minutes required. Morning hours allow for calm appreciation.
