About this spot

About 15 minutes by car from Shibukawa Beach (渋川海水浴場), this 234 m hill straddles Tamano City (玉野市) and Kurashiki City (倉敷市) and forms part of Setonaikai National Park (瀬戸内海国立公園), making it a popular viewpoint. Granite rock formations are scattered across the hillside, and a short walk along the trails opens up sweeping views of the Great Seto Bridge (瀬戸大橋) and islands large and small. The path to the observation deck is relatively gentle and well maintained, which makes it easy going even with small children. Taking in the many-islanded beauty of the Seto Inland Sea in soft morning light builds anticipation for the swimming ahead.

岡山県玉野市に位置する渋川海水浴場は、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月23日(日)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で、シャワーや手荷物預かりが利用できる海の家に加え、ウォーターパークも設置されるなど、家族連れが1日たっぷり楽しめる設備が揃っています。駐車場は約493台分と広く、1時間100円・1日上限1,000円で利用可能。瀬戸内海らしい穏やかな波の中、波打ち際での水遊びから浮き輪遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫できます。

駐車場は1時間100円・1日上限1,000円。海の家ではシャワーと手荷物預かりが利用でき、ウォーターパークもあるので子どもは水遊びに飽きにくいのも魅力です。夏の砂浜は日中熱くなるので、ビーチサンダルを忘れずに。

Tips

There is a car park you can drive up to near the summit, and from there it is about 10 minutes on foot to the observation deck. Some of the rocky sections are slippery, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The midday sun is strong in summer, so do not forget a hat and water.
