About this spot

Teradomari's signature food spot, where fresh-fish shops, dried-fish shops and eateries line Route 402. On this lively street, also nicknamed the Ameyoko of fish (魚のアメ横), you can enjoy just-landed seafood, seared and grilled dishes and seafood rice bowls. Being drawn in by the savory aroma of squid and scallops grilling in front of the shops and snacking as you stroll is one of the pleasures here. Fill up well before your swim and get ready for an afternoon of ocean play.

新潟県長岡市の寺泊エリアにある海水浴場で、2026年は7月11日(土)から8月16日(日)まで開設されます。遊泳は無料で、更衣室が完備されているほか、有料の温水シャワーも利用できるので、着替えや潮を落とすのに困りません。砂浜には浜茶屋が2軒あり、食事や休憩の拠点として使えます。トイレも完備されているので、小さな子ども連れでも安心。日本海に面した開放的な砂浜で、波打ち際の水遊びから砂遊びまで、夕方まで思いきり夏を満喫できます。なお、BBQは行えないので注意しましょう。

Tips

遊泳は無料ですが、温水シャワーと浜茶屋の利用は有料なので小銭を用意しておきましょう。夏の砂浜は熱いのでビーチサンダルが必携です。BBQ利用はできないため、飲食は浜茶屋や持参のお弁当で楽しみましょう。

Tips

About 5 minutes by car from Teradomari Chuo Beach (寺泊中央海水浴場). The parking lots get crowded at lunchtime, so arriving early is safer. A cooler bag is handy if you plan to buy dried fish as souvenirs after your swim.
