A museum displaying materials and videos about Amakusa Shiro, known as the leader of the Amakusa-Shimabara Rebellion. Located on high ground, you can overlook Hondo's townscape and sea from inside the museum. The display and large-screen videos tell the story in ways understandable to children. The air-conditioned interior is just right for a summer rest spot while cooling off. After viewing, have lunch downtown and head to the sea.
