This park, maintained on a hilltop overlooking Shiroyama Beach (城山海水浴場), is known for its sweeping view of Wakasa Bay (若狭湾). The lush, green grounds have well-maintained walking paths, letting you relax while feeling a pleasant breeze off the sea. Visit later in the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful sight of the slanting sun illuminating the water's surface. Take in the sea from the hilltop, where fireworks will rise tonight, and build anticipation for the day's grand finale.

Tips

About a 10-minute drive from Meikyodo (明鏡洞). There's a gentle uphill stretch to the observation spot, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended. The sea breeze can pick up in the evening, so a light jacket will help keep you comfortable.

About 1 hour 10 minutes. The time just before dusk, when the water sparkles, is especially recommended
