Unlike beaches lined with bustling beach houses, Sakurahama's charm lies in its quiet setting for enjoying the waves and sand. In the clear waters of Tosashimizu City, families can enjoy water play and sandcastle building in a relaxed atmosphere.

The parking lot is free with 16 spaces available—arriving early is advised for busy weekends. Showers are warm water only (100 yen), so bring small change. Swimming hours end at 4 p.m., so plan to finish 15 minutes early to allow time for changing.

Best time to visit

From 2 p.m. onward, the sun is gentler, and there's plenty of time to swim until 4 p.m.
