A seafood market located near Shinminato Fishing Port. 'Kittokitto' means 'fresh' in Toyama dialect, and as the name suggests, fish and seafood caught in Toyama Bay line the shelves. The attraction is encountering Toyama specialties such as the famous white shrimp and seasonal crab. The restaurant is popular for seafood bowls and white shrimp tempura, where the whole family can satisfy their appetites. You can also take seafood souvenirs home in cooler packs—a nice bonus.
Tips
The dining area gets crowded during lunch rush; arriving before mid-12:00 keeps lines short. Strollers are welcome inside, and there's ample free parking. It's reassuring to have a cooling bag for fresh fish and dried seafood souvenirs.
