A historic hot spring dating back to Takeda Shingen's secret bath, with accommodations and souvenir shops lining the area from the station through the hot spring district. Free foot baths are set up throughout, offering the welcome chance to quickly warm tired feet. Mountain-themed souvenirs like hot spring buns and wine are easy to find, and you can spend time in the relaxed hot spring atmosphere before the fireworks festival. Isawa is also one of Japan's leading grape and peach regions, with seasonal fruit products displayed in shops throughout the town. Walking through the soft evening light builds anticipation for the summer festival to come.

2026年7月20日(月)、笛吹市役所前の笛吹川河川敷から打ち上がる花火大会です。鵜飼の伝説が残るこの地ならではの夏の風物詩で、川面に映り込む花火の光と、両岸に連なる温泉街の明かりが重なり合う情緒あふれる眺めが魅力です。20時50分から21時までの10分間ですが、その分ぎゅっと凝縮された打ち上げが夜空を彩ります。温泉地の夏祭りらしい、しっとりと落ち着いた雰囲気の中で花火を見上げる時間は、旅の思い出としても格別です。7月22日(水)にも同じ場所で開催されるため(21日は休み)、天候や混雑状況に応じて日程を選べるのもこの大会の特徴です。

Tips

河川敷は当日大変混雑するため、場所取りは17時台からがおすすめです。荒天時は中止の可能性があるため、当日の開催可否は笛吹市の公式発表で確認を。終了後は駅や駐車場までの道が混み合うため、少し余韻を楽しんでからの帰宅がおすすめです。

Tips

Within walking distance from Enburyoji Temple. Bringing a towel makes foot bath use more convenient. The area gets crowded with fireworks-goers from late afternoon, so complete shopping early. Continue to the riverbed by foot or vehicle.
