About this spot

This is the very venue of tonight's fireworks festival, the Fuefuki River riverbed spreading out in front of Fuefuki City Hall. As evening comes, picnic sheets staking out spots gradually increase, the food stalls light up, and the festival mood builds. Have dinner from summer-festival-style stall food, starting with the local specialty hoto noodles, and spend the time before the show relaxing. The open riverside scenery also offers a beautiful sunset, and just watching the sky darken is enough to lift your spirits. It's reassuring to check the location of restrooms during this time as well, before night falls.

Tips

Within walking distance from Isawa Onsen. On the day of the fireworks festival, the surrounding roads get very congested from the evening onward, so arrive early if coming by car. Get your food and drinks early, before the stalls sell out.
