About this spot

A historic bridge spanning the Mitoku River that could be called a symbol of Misasa Onsen. Its beautiful arched form offers a sweeping view of the clear stream and surrounding mountains from atop the bridge. Long cherished as a bridge of daily life connecting the hot-spring district with the opposite bank, it lets you feel both the lives of local residents and the history of this hot-spring town. The area around the bridge is also known as a photogenic spot, perfect for a family commemorative photo. It's also close to the riverbed where tonight's fireworks will launch, making it a good place to picture this evening's venue.

Tips

You can walk here from the onsen district. Cars also pass over the bridge, so please be mindful of safety when taking photos. To reach the next promenade, cross the bridge and walk along the river.

Best time to visit

About 30 minutes. The afternoon light, when it sparkles on the river's surface, is recommended
