Along the Kihoku Town coastline facing Kumano-nada, this small inlet is known for the beauty of its clear waters. Surrounded by rocky outcrops, the quiet beach hasn't been overly developed for tourism, giving it the feel of a hidden spot cherished by locals. It's a perfect place to cool off in the sea breeze after the pass hike and take a relaxed photo break. If you plan to swim, there's no lifeguard on duty, so be sure to check safety conditions at the water's edge yourself.
Tips
About a 15-minute drive from the Magose Pass trailhead. Parking is limited, so if it's crowded, it's best to just make a brief stop rather than push for a spot. There are no shops nearby, so bring your own drinks ahead of time.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour. The sea looks especially beautiful in the light before evening
