This small island floats in the Seto Inland Sea, reachable by just a few minutes' ferry ride from the port at Hojo. Well-maintained walking paths on the island let you see wild deer living freely up close. From a viewpoint near the summit, you can take in the beautiful scenery of the many islands of the Seto Inland Sea. It's a popular spot for families to easily enjoy the nature unique to a remote island.
Tips
Ferry services are limited, so check the timetable in advance and plan your round trip. Please be careful not to feed the deer carelessly.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes. The ferry is relatively uncrowded in the early afternoon.
