This shopping street spreads out in front of JR Chikanaga Station (JR近永駅) on the Yodo Line (予土線), in the center of Kihoku Town. Surrounded by satoyama countryside, the laid-back streetscape is lined with local shops and eateries, giving off a simple, warm atmosphere. It also serves as the starting point for the Hiromi River (広見川) and roadside station you'll visit later, making it a fitting way to begin the day.

Parking lots are scattered around the station. Shop opening hours vary, so part of the fun is walking around and finding which shops are open.
