About this spot
A mansion built by Ito Denzaemon, known as the coal mining king of Chikuho, in the Taisho era, featuring Western-Japanese fusion architecture and expansive landscape gardens. The mansion is also known as the home of poet Yanagihara Hakuren, and you can glimpse the luxurious lifestyle of the time. The garden offers seasonal views, and in summer, lush green trees create a refreshing atmosphere.

2026年7月24日(金)開催、陸上自衛隊飯塚駐屯地の夏祭りを締めくくる打ち上げ花火です。19時から20時まで、基地の夜空に次々と花火が打ち上がります。地域の夏祭りならではのアットホームな雰囲気の中で見上げる花火は、大きな会場とはまたひと味違う魅力があります。1日の締めくくりにふさわしい、家族の夏の思い出になるひとときです。
Tips
荒天時は中止または内容が変更となる場合があるため、当日の開催可否は事前に確認しましょう。終了後は周辺道路が大変混雑するため、余韻を楽しんでから時間差での帰宅がおすすめです。足元が暗いので、小さな懐中電灯があると安心です。
Tips
Accessible by car from Iizuka city center. Admission is approximately 300 yen for adults. As the garden is outdoors, in summer it is reassuring to have a hat or parasol.
Best time to visit
About 1 hour 30 minutes. From late morning to early afternoon is relatively uncrowded and allows for leisurely viewing.
